Every year Shoreham College gathers to mark the fallen in a moving act of remembrance. This year, honouring the former pupils who gave their lives in defence of the country, was slightly different.
Instead of gathering at the Shoreham College memorial, students watched a Remembrance video filmed especially for the occasion.
A moving Service from Rev. Martin Poole, filmed at St Luke’s Prestonville, spoke about the fallen and prayers were read in their honour.
Head boy and girl, Finnley and Seyuri, read the Roll of Honour in front of the College memorial and wreaths were laid by Kathryn Stokes, on behalf of the College; the President of the Old Shorehamers’ Association Mr David Abbott, on behalf of the ex-pupils and The Chair of the Parents’ Association, Mrs Sam Mackley, on behalf of the parents.
Readings were by Y11 pupil Calan and Shoreham College brass teacher, Martin Deering, played the last post from the grounds of St Julian’s Church.
